About Me:
I started Philly1.com in 1998. We began producing and streaming weekly video interviews in 2000. In 2002 we partnered with The Weekly Press and UC Review newspapers and while they both have their own independent websites now, we continue to have a strong and interactive relationship. Prior to our format change to NING, at its peak, Philly1.com averaged 70,000 unique visitors per month. Last April we encountered a problem with YAHOO! Website Services. They were totally unresponsive and all of our archival material remains inaccessible on our Yahoo server. Regardless of how hard we try or how many times we contact YAHOO! we receive no response. Philly1.com went dead for over 5 months. We're back and and I've just partnered with my friend Brian Stevenson and he is now Co-Director of the site. I know his energy will breathe new life into Philly1.com.
Why I Am Here:
i met her ... we have a lovechild and a dog. beyond that ... friends.

Favorite Restaurants:
we order in a lot. love the neighborhood spots but perhaps my current favorite restaurant in town is amada in olde city. for pizza we love cravings on chestnut next to the state store. the pad thai shack for singapore curry noodles, mamma's for falafel, genji for the occasional raw quail egg and salmon row, audrey claire for upscale homey american/north african, marathon for comfort and convenience, and tinto too. the cresheim cottage in chestnut hill is also a favorite.

Dear Philly1.com Members, Happy Independence Day! It's definitely going to be cooler than it's been but watch out for scattered thunderstorms. As usual, Philadelphia becomes a a huge tourist destination this weekend, so, we're going to give tribute to some of these great "tourist" events in this week's listings, but, also try to give you some off-the-beaten-track options to enjoy without having to give someone directions to the Liberty Bell, or, explain why neither Pat's nor Geno's are the best… Continue

An ex pat group sounds perfect...i think of myself more of an 215 ambassador than a transplant. And for record, a "hero" is a crap version of a hoagie. The battle's over the minute you cut the roll in half. And don't act like you're doing me a favor putting mayo on there either pal.
